I do! I know it can be a bit of a slog, I couldn't read The Silmarillion either when I was younger but now I'm glad I did.
It's like an insight into the nooks and crannies of Middle Earth you'd never thought to investigate it before-for example, Tolkien gets quite a bit of flack for having his races be so binary in the elves are good, orcs are bad sort of way. But in The Silmarillion, you encounter a 'dark' elf and that portrayal is so anachronistic, it sticks with you.
Still, there's no shame in portioning it out in chunks and reading the book slowly, it can be a bit dense,after all...
