I love this piece, you really speak from and to the heart. So many of us wait to live, chasing grand aspirations without realising how beautiful the smallest things like a blade of grass or the smile of a stranger can be. Thank you for reflecting so maturely and kindly on what makes life worth living! (I think you might enjoy 'A Whole Life' by Robert Seethaler, I'd like to believe Beth's character could have turned out similar to the protagonist if she had lived.)
