Please don't feel that way! It is disheartening, I know, to keep hearing about these things but so many women are educating themselves, standing up to these crimes.

I'm thinking of the mother of the poor young woman who was raped in Delhi in 2021-I read that she became an activist in memory of her daughter, while facing up to multiple hurdles in terms of education/understanding the legal system.

Maybe it is naive to counter with something like this, but it is a sign of hope, surely?
