Your response is well written and rings true. I get your point, that man probably was trying to be dominant to win back some sense of self-worth. I didn't even dignify him with a response or look at him-from what I remember, that seemed to preoccupy him.

I wholeheartedly agree with men having to learn how to express and process emotions. I grew up in a culture where men were not expected to be sensitive or emotional-even a father expressing love to his daughter would be indirect and not demonstrative, so this strikes me as particularly important.
